Voucher Centre — cover

02 / Overview

Overview

Voucher Centre is a centralized hub for managing promotional offers within the Oriflame Mobile Office.

The previous experience was fragmented — vouchers appeared across multiple touchpoints with inconsistent structure, unclear terminology, and limited visibility. This led to low discoverability and reduced user understanding of available benefits.

I designed a scalable voucher ecosystem that consolidates all offers into a single experience, introduces clear structure and hierarchy, and supports both personal and shareable voucher use cases — enabling better engagement and laying the groundwork for future activation and recruitment flows.

03 / Problem

Problem

Vouchers were not designed as a coherent system, but rather appeared across different parts of the experience in inconsistent ways.

Users encountered multiple terms — such as offer, reward, voucher, promo code, coupon, and discount code — often used interchangeably, creating confusion and reducing clarity.

At the same time, vouchers lacked visibility and structure. There was no centralized place where users could view, manage, or understand their available offers. Key information — such as benefits, expiration, and usage — was often unclear or missing.

Additionally, existing voucher mechanics (such as referral and promo codes) were visually and functionally disconnected from the rest of the product experience, limiting their effectiveness as both an incentive and a recruitment tool.

This resulted in low engagement with vouchers and missed opportunities for both customer activation and recruitment.

04 / Hypothesis

Hypothesis

If vouchers are centralized into a single hub with clear structure, consistent terminology, and transparent benefits, users will be more likely to discover, understand, and use them.

This will increase engagement with promotional offers and enable vouchers to function not only as a discount mechanism, but also as a scalable activation and recruitment tool.

05 / Experiment

Experiment

To validate the hypothesis, we launched a pilot (MVP) version of the Voucher Centre in one market.

We introduced a centralized hub for all vouchers, with a clear structure and consistent presentation, and tested both personal and shareable voucher types. The experiment aimed to evaluate whether improved visibility and clarity would increase voucher usage and support future activation and recruitment use cases.

06 / Solution

Solution

I designed a dedicated Voucher Centre that brings all vouchers into a single, accessible space.

The solution defines clear voucher types — such as personal and shareable — and introduces a consistent structure that highlights key information like benefits, validity, and usage. This improves clarity and reduces confusion caused by previously inconsistent terminology.

Additionally, I designed sharing flows that allow users to easily distribute vouchers, while ensuring alignment with existing systems like Beauty Rewards.

07 / Voucher types

Voucher types — personal and shareable categorisation

Voucher types

Clear voucher types for better understanding and usage

I introduced a clear categorization system — such as personal and shareable vouchers — supported by distinct labels and visual cues.

This made it easier for users to quickly understand how each voucher works.

This improved clarity, reduced confusion, and made the experience more intuitive.

08 / Structure

Voucher structure — standardized layout and expanded view

Structure

Consistent structure for clarity and decision-making

I introduced a standardized layout that organizes all essential elements in a clear and predictable way — including labels, short descriptions, validity, rewards, and actions.

This structure ensures that users can scan and understand each voucher with minimal effort.

Additionally, I designed an expanded view that provides more detailed information and clear next steps, supporting users in making confident decisions.

09 / Usage & Sharing

Voucher sharing — redeem, copy and share flows

Usage & Sharing

Seamless voucher usage and sharing experience

I designed a simplified flow that makes it easy for users to redeem vouchers, copy codes, or share them directly with others. Clear calls-to-action and contextual feedback — such as confirmation messages and usage indicators — guide users through the process.

This reduced friction, improved usability, and encouraged users to actively use and share vouchers.

10 / Results

Results

The introduction of the Voucher Centre led to a measurable improvement in how users discover, understand, and use promotional offers.

+32%

Voucher usage increased, indicating improved visibility and clarity across the experience.

+22%

Growth in the number of orders using vouchers — a positive impact on conversion and overall engagement.

18%

Of vouchers were shared — supporting the role of vouchers as an activation and recruitment tool, not only a discount mechanism.

Beyond immediate results, the solution established a scalable foundation for future enhancements — including personalized offers, expanded sharing capabilities, and broader adoption across different markets.
